#7

Marcus Nixon, senior, Squalicum

WHY HE’S #7: Showing the toughness and quickness that made him an all-league football player, the 6-foot-3 forward was also a force for the Storm on the basketball court. He could could take anyone to the rim, jump over anyone for a rebound, cover anyone from point guard to post, and fire up his team with a great shot or a great pass. He averaged almost 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals a game, and was named to the all-Northwest Conference second team as well as the Whatcom County Seniors Classic.

COACH DAVID DUNHAM: “Marcus was absolutely crucial to our success this year. He provided an instant offensive spark whenever we needed it, and he led our team in both defense and rebounding. His ability to lock down opponents and dominate the boards set the tone for us. Simply put, we wouldn’t have achieved the level of success we did without Marcus’s presence on the floor.”
