Whatcom Hoops Boys Top 30: #16 Josiah Weeda

In an incredible season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 boys. Each day we’ll feature an amazing player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#16

Josiah Weeda, senior, Blaine

WHY HE’S #16: The smooth 6-foot-3 guard/forward could do it all — whether piling up points when the Borderites’ needed offense, hitting the boards like a big man, or dishing off to teammates. His leadership helped Blaine stay competitive, and he would average more than 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists a game while being named to the Whatcom County Seniors Classic.

COACH CHAS KOK: “Josiah’s willingness to serve others in our program was extremely important to help establish a culture of unselfishness. Josiah learned a good balance between being aggressive against the defense and picking spots to be patient to get a better shot for his teammates.”
