Whatcom Hoops Boys Top 30: #19 Kincade VanHouten

In an incredible season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 boys. Each day we’ll feature an amazing player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#19

Kincade VanHouten, senior, Bellingham

WHY HE’S #19: Listed as a 6-foot-5 “guard,” VanHouten was one of the more versatile players in the Northwest Conference. He was a dangerous 3-point shooter who could also score inside, averaging more than 14 points and almost 2 assists, while pulling down 7 rebounds a game. But what set him apart was his steady leadership, which comes from starting for three years for the Bayhawks.

COACH BRAD McKAY: “Kincade was a team leader, who could do everything on both ends of the floor and could play any position.”
