Whatcom Hoops Boys Top 30: #15 Darius Gilstrap

In an incredible season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 boys. Each day we’ll feature an amazing player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#15

Darius Gilstrap, senior, Mount Baker

WHY HE’S #15: The 6-foot-2 wing was one of the league’s most improved players and became the Mounties’ biggest offensive threat as the season progressed. Capable of creating his own shot or setting up teammates, he averaged 11 points and more than 7 rebounds and 3 assists, a game for the season, but was at his best during Mount Baker’s final weeks. He finished his prep career playing in the Whatcom County Seniors Game.

COACH TONY CLARK: “He led our team in points and rebounds per game. He has a non-stop motor that drove our team.”
