In an incredible season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 boys. Each day we’ll feature an amazing player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#21

Hunter Wills, senior, Ferndale

WHY HE’S #21: The athletic 6-foot-5 guard/forward could play inside or outside, making him invaluable to the Golden Eagles at both ends of the court. He averaged nearly 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals, and shot 48 percent from the field, earning himself an all-star spot in the Whatcom County Seniors Classic.

COACH LUKE DuCHESNE: “Hunter has gone through a lot these last couple of years. The year before I got the job, his father had passed away. He is a quiet and humble kid who leads by example. He is a great student and also universally liked at Ferndale High School. He has faced a lot of adversity and improved a ton for us.”
