In a season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops ranked the top 30 boys. Each day we featured an amazing player in our county and counted down until we got to #1. We hope you enjoyed the countdown as we honored the best of the best.
#23
Talon Jenkins, sophomore, Meridian
WHY HE’S #23: One of the most improved players in the Northwest Conference, Jenkins burst onto the scene this season and averaged 12 points a game. The 6-foot-4 wing was the Trojans’ top 3-point shooter and helped Meridian place third among Class 1A schools in the NWC behind state powers Lynden Christian and Blaine.
COACH SHANE STACY: “Talon is one of the best deep threats in the league. He put in an unbelievable amount of time this off-season and has a deep passion for the game of basketball.”
