In a season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops ranked the top 30 boys. Each day we featured an amazing player in our county and counted down until we got to #1. We hope you enjoyed the countdown as we honored the best of the best.
#21
Xander Sledge, senior, Squalicum
WHY HE’S #21: Sledge was one of the top 3-point shooters in the Northwest Conference as seen by the six he hit in the Seniors Classic. The smooth 6-foot guard averaged nearly 13 points a game and hit 62 3s this season. But the lefty wasn’t just a gunner as he collected 37 assists and 33 steals for the Storm.
COACH TYLER HANNIGAN: “Xander can get hotter faster than just about anyone and is a threat to knock down shots from anywhere. He was the winner of our ‘Most Dedicated’ team award.”
