Whatcom Hoops Boys Top 30: #3 Spencer Adams

In another amazing season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 boys. Each day we’ll feature an outstanding player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#3

Spencer Adams, senior, Lynden

WHY HE’S #3: A warrior who played through injuries and led the Lions in almost every statistical category, the 6-foot-6 forward was the main reason Lynden returned to state during its most challenging season in years. He played 26 minutes a game, averaging 17 points, almost 9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3 steals. He also was the Northwest Conference’s top shooting big man, hitting 47 3-pointers. For his efforts, he was chosen to play in the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association all-state game and was named first team all-Northwest Conference.

COACH BRIAN ROPER: “Spencer made himself into an all-league player by working hard behind the scenes. His best quality as a player was how versatile he was in terms of rebounding, scoring, and playmaking.”
