Whatcom Hoops Boys Top 30: #19 Boyce Robertson

In another amazing season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 boys. Each day we’ll feature an outstanding player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#19

Boyce Robertson, senior, Lynden Christian

WHY HE’S #19: The strong 6-foot-2 guard might have made the list without scoring a point thanks to his physical defense as he showed in the state championship game when he limited Zillah’s all-state forward to 4 points (and scored 13 himself). But after coming off a football injury, the hard-working Robertson averaged 10 points in addition to his 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals a game making him invaluable to the 1A state champs on both ends of the court.

COACH TIM ZYLSTRA: “Boyce is a quiet leader, who put his nose down, and fought through some injuries. Even though he missed about 40 percent of the season, he bought into his role and led by doing everything the coaches asked. He was the difference maker at state.”
