Houston Wills, sophomore, Ferndale
WHY HE’S #20: One of the Northwest Conference’s big surprises this season was the Golden Eagles’ young and talented backcourt. The 6-foot-2 sophomore was a natural off guard but took over the point guard spot by necessity and ended up averaging 11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and nearly 2 steals.
COACH LUKE DuCHESNE: “Houston took on a lot as a first-year starter. He was not a natural point guard but was asked to play the position. He set us up well, shouldered a lot, and shot the ball extremely well. He rarely takes bad shots, asks great questions. It will be fun to watch as he moves off the ball and gets older and stronger.”
