In a season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops ranked the top 30 girls. Each day we featured an amazing player in our county and counted down until we got to #1. We hope you enjoyed the countdown as we honored the best of the best.
#26
Raven Solomon, senior, Lummi Nation
WHY SHE’S #26: Like her first cousin Aliesha Solomon, Raven has been on the varsity since eighth grade, a four-year starter who helped the Lady Blackhawks reach the tri-district tournament all four seasons (COVID canceled one year) and state once. While listed as a guard, she was the team’s most versatile player who could score and play defense both inside and outside, averaging 12.3 points a game this season.
COACH KRISTA MAHLE: “Raven definitely brings the energy every great leader on a team needs. Her ability to be a threat in any position on the court made her a triple threat. She had the ability to run the point when we needed her to, play a post position or a wing.”
