In a season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops ranked the top 30 girls. Each day we featured an amazing player in our county and counted down until we got to #1. We hope you enjoyed the countdown as we honored the best of the best.

Daisy Poag, senior, Lynden Christian

WHY SHE’S #20: On a team that knows its roles, no one performed her role better than Poag. The 5-foot-7 guard was the Lyncs’ designated bomber, and she made 69 to set the school record for 3s in a season. She averaged more than 8 points a game and her improvement on defense also made her a key part of LC’s run to the Class 1A state title game. She earned second-team all-state tournament honors and was named to the all-Northwest Conference second team.

COACH BRADY BOMBER: “Daisy has a special competitive spirit. She is an elite 3-point shooter who made many big shots for our team and made the game easier for her teammates.”
