Whatcom Hoops Girls Top 30: #7 Ella Fritts

In an incredible season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 girls. Each day we’ll feature an amazing player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#7

Ella Fritts, sophomore, Lynden Christian

WHY SHE’S #7: On a team that started the season with no returning starters and little varsity experience, Fritts was thrust in the role of floor leader, scoring leader, and defensive leader. And despite being only a sophomore, the 5-foot-10 guard starred in each role, averaging 11.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 steals. She was named first-team 1A all-state by Scorebook Live and first-team all-NWC after helping LC finish third at state.

COACH BRADY BOMBER: “Ella wore many hats for us this season. These included being a primary ball handler and defending the opponent’s best offensive player, among others. Her toughness and versatility elevated our team.”
