Whatcom Hoops Girls Top 30: #27 Mary Lockhart

In an incredible season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 girls. Each day we’ll feature an amazing player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#27

Mary Lockhart, sophomore, Bellingham

WHY SHE’S #27: Lockhart provided the Bayhawks with a strong inside presence, averaging 9.2 points a game, despite often being double-teamed, and pulling down 6.3 rebounds a game. The 5-foot-11 post also was a force on defense as shown by her shutting down Burlington-Edison all-star Chesah Holmes.

COACH JAMES WOLVERTON: “Not only is Mary a hard worker, a great teammate, an awesome human, and dependable, but her game grew this season.”
