Whatcom Hoops Girls Top 30: #22 Kiki York

In an incredible season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 girls. Each day we’ll feature an amazing player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#22

Kiki York, junior, Lynden

WHY SHE’S #22: On a team that prided itself on defense, 5-foot-9 guard/forward/post/whatever-you-need was the top lock-down defender for the state champion Lions and arguably the best in the Northwest Conference. York’s 6.6 points a game on 58 percent shooting and her 4 rebounds a game were icing on the cake.

COACH ROB ADAMS: “Kiki had an amazing season. She went from not playing very much varsity as a sophomore to starting every game for us this year and single-handily impacting the game defensively by guarding every team’s best offensive player.”
