#18
Deja Dube, senior, Blaine
WHY SHE’S #18: Few players in the league have been asked to do more in their high school careers than Dube, a four-year starter for the Borderites. The 5-foot-8 point guard was the main ball-handler, outside shooter, and defender who averaged 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.5 steals per game despite being the focus of every opponents’ defense.
COACH VIC WOLFFIS: “Deja was the floor general for us this year and shouldered a very heavy ball-handling responsibility. She showed up for every scheduled date summer, fall, and winter and was the first to volunteer if something needed taking care of. She was a great captain for our group and was the glue that held the pieces together when we were pressured and challenged.”
