#16

Hunter Calloway, freshman, Squalicum

WHY HE’S #16: Calloway went from making varsity, to starting, to becoming the county’s top freshman, to being one of the league’s best players. The 6-foot-1 guard averaged 12.2 points, 4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals a game, but his continual improvement showed as he averaged 15 points a game in the second half of the season, putting up 20 or more points five times in January.

COACH TYLER HANNIGAN: “Stepping into the role of point guard as a freshman in the competitive Northwest Conference is no small feat, yet Hunter rose to the challenge. His rapid development and maturity on the court have been nothing short of impressive, and I am excited to see his continued progress in the seasons to come.”
