#13
Taylor Turrell, freshman, Sehome
WHY SHE’S #13: The class of the Class of 2028, the 5-foot-8 point guard instantly moved into the role left by graduated all-star Madi Cooper and became the Mariners’ team leader. She led Sehome with 11 points, 2 assists, and 3 steals a game, and also averaged 4 rebounds. Physical and skilled, Turrell was always on the court during crunch time and for her efforts was named to the all-Northwest Conference second team.
COACH KIM STENSGAR: “She had an amazing freshman season, showing poise and control of emotions under pressure, and had some big games for us. When she started the season with multiple double-digit scoring nights, teams started to take notice, and she had to learn how to take pressure on and embrace the challenge. For her leadership on the floor and for running the offense all year, Taylor was voted (Sehome’s) offensive MVP. I can’t wait to see what the next three years have in store for her.”
