Whatcom Hoops Girls Top 30: #12 Lexi Hermanutz

In an incredible season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 girls. Each day we’ll feature an amazing player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#12

Lexi Hermanutz, sophomore, Lynden

WHY SHE’S #12: When the 5-foot-11 point guard stepped up her game and stepped into the starting role, the key piece to the Lions’ championship puzzle was in place. Able to score when needed, what made Hermanutz invaluable was her ability to run both Lynden’s halfcourt and fastbreak offenses and her uncanny defensive sense that made her one of the league’s best at steals. She averaged almost 7 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals a game and was named second-team all-Northwest Conference.

COACH ROB ADAMS: “Her athletic ability can help her take over a game both on offense and defense.”
