Whatcom Hoops Girls Top 30: #14 Kate Schroeder

In an amazing season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 girls. Each day we’ll feature an outstanding player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#14

Kate Schroeder, junior, Sehome

WHY SHE’S #14: At 5-foot-10, Schroeder was one of the league’s top all-around players, a big guard who was able to go inside for rebounds, able to score in bunches when needed, and able to guard other teams’ top scorers. She averaged 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1.5 assists, always seemed to be up for the big games, and was named second team all-Northwest Conference.

COACH KIM STENSGAR: “Kate was one of our top defenders and led all players on our team in rebounds (121 total). She was a team captain and positive leader.”

NOTE: Thank you to the coaches and to Tyler Anderson of WhatcomPreps.com for season stats.
