Whatcom Hoops Girls Top 30: #27 Jocelyn Eshuis

In an amazing season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 girls. Each day we’ll feature an outstanding player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#27

Jocelyn Eshuis, junior, Lynden Christian

WHY SHE’S #27: The slim 6-foot-1 forward took over as the Lyncs’ main inside threat both on offense and defense. She averaged more than 7 points and 6 rebounds and also was an above-average passer and defender in the post helping Lynden Christian continue its two-decade streak of placing at the Class 1A state tournament.

COACH BRADY BOMBER: “Jocelyn improved every single day this season and became a true difference-maker for us. Her length and athleticism made her a force protecting the basket, and she consistently impacted the game with her rebounding and ability to score around the basket. What stands out most, though, is the way she supported and celebrated her teammates. She made everyone around her better.”

NOTE: Thank you to the coaches and to Tyler Anderson of WhatcomPreps.com for season stats.
