#26
Ellie Pierce, junior, Lynden Christian
WHY SHE’S #26: Nobody perhaps in the entire Northwest Conference sacrificed as much as the Lyncs’ 5-foot-5 point guard. She barely averaged 4 points a game, but her selflessness, steadiness, and smarts helped her average 3 assists, 3 rebounds, and almost 2 steals. The league coaches recognized her value in guiding the Lyncs to a fifth-place state trophy by naming her to the all-NWC second team.
COACH BRADY BOMBER: “Ellie is an ultra competitor who set the tone for us all season. She did an excellent job as our primary ball handler and playmaker, consistently getting us into our offense and making the right reads. On top of that, she embraced the challenge of defending the other teams’ best guards every night and was a constant encourager of her teammates.”
NOTE: Thank you to the coaches and to Tyler Anderson of WhatcomPreps.com for season stats.
