With our Whatcom high school seniors graduating in the next couple of weeks, it’s the perfect time to honor them one last time and see where your favorite players are planning to attend college next year to play basketball.
Here are members of the Class of 2025 who have announced where they will be going this fall. And good luck to all of them.

JONAH BRILLOWSKY
SKAGIT VALLEY COLLEGE
The Ferndale big man will take his skills to the Mount Vernon community college, where he will join fellow recruit Jaeger Fyfe of Meridian. The Cardinals finished the season 28-2, winning the North Division title before being upset in the first round of the Northwest Athletic Conference tournament.

DANYA DYKSTRA
BIOLA UNIVERSITY
Lynden Christian’s all-star guard takes her game and her winning tradition to Los Angeles to play for the Eagles of Biola, an NCAA Division II school. The private Christian college finished the season 7-22 overall and 7-13 in the PacWest Conference.

BIOLA UNIVERSITY
Lynden Christian’s all-state guard is heading to Los Angeles to play for the Eagles of Biola. The private Christian college finished the season 22-8 and reached the first round of the NCAA Division II national tournament.

BROOKLYN FULLER
SOUTH PUGET SOUND COMMUNITY COLLEGE
The Meridian point guard will bring her inspirational floor game to the Olympia school. The Clippers finished the season 21-9, took third in the Northwest Athletic Conference’s West Division, and reached the final eight of the NWAC tournament.

Meridian’s all-star guard will be headed to the Mount Vernon community college, where he will join fellow recruit Jonah Brillowsky of Ferndale. The Cardinals finished the season 28-2, winning the North Division title before being upset in the first round of the Northwest Athletic Conference tournament.

BRANT HEPPNER
SEATTLE PACIFIC UNIVERSITY
Lynden’s all-state forward will continue his family legacy at the private Christian school, where his grandfather Howard Heppner was an all-American. The Falcons finished their 2025 season with an 18-15 record, winning the Great Northwest Athletic Conference tournament and reaching the first round of the NCAA Division II national tournament.

NORTHWEST UNIVERSITY
The Nooksack Valley point guard will take his talents to the private Christian college in Kirkland. The Eagles, who compete in the NAIA, finished 5-23 overall and 4-18 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

GRACE HINTZ
MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY
Hintz will add to the family legacy of outstanding hoopsters who played for the Division I school in Bozeman. Among the Bobcats’ greats are Hintz’s mother, aunt, and first cousin. The Lynden Christian star, who had an all-state career despite suffering two ACL tears will join a Bobcats squad that had the finest season in school history with 30 victories, winning the Big Sky regular season and tournament titles, and reaching the NCAA national tournament.

TALON JENKINS
UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO
The Meridian all-state guard signed as a preferred walk-on at the NCAA Division I school in Moscow, Idaho. The Vandals had their best season in eight years with 14 wins and a spot in the semifinals of the Big Sky tournament.

ABDUL KANAGIE
EDMONDS COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Blaine’s talented forward will join fellow recruit Hunter Wills of Ferndale on the Tritons squad, which finished the season 19-11 and reached the first round of the Northwest Athletic Conference tournament. On the squad was freshman Brady Elsner, Lynden’s all-time assist leader who also led the Tritons in assists.

DORDT UNIVERSITY
The Lynden Christian guard will go from one winning program to another as she heads to Sioux Center, Iowa, to play for the private Christian college. The Defenders finished 35-2 and won the NAIA national championship for the second year in a row last March.

CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY IRVINE
Lynden Christian’s all-state post heads to the Los Angeles suburb of Irvine to play for the NCAA Division II school. The Golden Eagles finished the season 5-22 and missed the PacWest tournament.

MAKALIE TVETER
WALLA WALLA UNIVERSITY
The Lynden Christian post will continue her career at the private Christian school in Eastern Washington despite missing her senior season with an injury. The Wolves, who play in the NAIA, finished the season 7-21 overall and 4-18 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play.

Ferndale’s versatile guard will join fellow recruit Abdul Kanagie of Blaine on the Tritons squad, which finished the season 19-11 and reached the first round of the Northwest Athletic Conference tournament. SKAGIT VALLEY COLLEGE
Lynden’s all-star forward won’t have to go far to play for another winning program. After helping the Lions win the past two Class 2A state titles, York heads to Mount Vernon to join the Cardinals, who finished 18-11 overall and reached the Northwest Athletic Conference tournament after finishing second in the North Division.
