#10 Lynden Christian boys 62, Meridian 53
In the only game involving two Whatcom County teams, the Lyncs held off the Trojans in Thursday’s Class 1A state quarterfinal.
Zach Sipma and Jaden DeBoer had 17 points each to lead Lynden Christian to victory in the Lyncs’ first game at Yakima and send them into the semifinals. Jordan Veenstra had 16 points for Meridian, which fought back from a 15-point second-half deficit before falling.
