Whatcom Hoops Girls Top 30: #30 Lucy Holland

In an amazing season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 girls. Each day we’ll feature an outstanding player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#30

Lucy Holland, sophomore, Bellingham

WHY SHE’S #30: The 5-foot-4 left-handed shooting guard — and half of the Bayhawks’ Holland twins backcourt — averaged almost 8 points a game and more than 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals as she became Bellingham’s third scoring threat and most complete all-around player. Quick and athletic, she’s already one of the top sophomores in the Northwest Conference.

COACH DREW McFALL: “Lucy had a special ability to never lose her joy on the court. She stepped into a big role as one of our primary ball handlers and consistently rose to the occasion. I think she has the ability to develop into an elite 3-level scorer.”
