#27
Daniel Larsen, senior, Meridian
WHY HE’S #27: The 6-foot-5 center was the only real inside presence on what was usually a four-guard lineup for the Trojans. He averaged 9 points while shooting 53 percent from the field and 6 rebounds, but it was his steady personality, leadership by example, and willingness to do the dirty work that made him a key part of an overachieving Meridian team that came within one game of reaching state.
COACH SHANE STACY: “He made tremendous improvement over the course of the season and became a crucial piece of our success. Through hard work and a willingness to be coached, his game took a big step forward, and his confidence grew along with it. What really set him apart was his size and physicality. He consistently gave us a strong presence inside, battled on the boards, defended with toughness, and finished through contact. His ability to play physically and embrace that role allowed our team to compete at a higher level, especially in key moments. He brought energy, toughness, and a team-first mindset every day, and his growth was a major factor in what we were able to accomplish this season. I am not sure where we would have been without Daniel.”
