The Lyncs were not going to let anyone stand in the way of returning to the Class 1A state title game, and they humbled the Scotties in the semifinal rout on Friday.
Senior guard Riley Dykstra led the way with 13 points, but it was LC’s strangling defense that made the difference, holding Freeman to nine first-half points and its season-low point total.
