#15 Cashmere 62, Meridian boys 56
The Trojans’ historic season came to an end with the loss to the second-seeded Bulldogs in Friday’s consolation round at the Class 1A state tournament.
It was a disappointing ending for the team’s seven seniors, but it didn’t take away from Meridian’s accomplishments. With their 20-11 record, the Trojans set the school mark for wins in a season and returned Meridian to the state tournament for the first time in 10 years.
Senior guard Jackson Short also was named to the state all-tournament second team.
