Thank You, Sponsors, For Making Our Great Season Possible

As we wrap up another great championship season for our Whatcom County boys and girls basketball teams, Whatcom Hoops wants to take another opportunity to thank those who made it all possible.

Twenty-three local businesses sponsored ads on our Whatcom Hoops website, allowing us to cover 37 regular-season games in-person, 47 district games in-person and over the phone, and 25 regional and state tournament games in-person (and another 4 over the phone).

In addition, we were able to write feature stories on athletes and coaches, advances on upcoming games and tournaments, news stories, weekly recaps and highlights, and fun pieces like our Top 30 players lists. In all, Whatcom Hoops posted 177 stories to publicize and praise our 22 teams, their high schools, and their fans.

Again, it was all possible because of the financial support of local individuals and families who believed in promoting and honoring our student-athletes, coaches, and communities.

They also made it a successful season for Whatcom Hoops, which had an ad viewership to nearly 540,284 views. That means that in the five months of posting stories, each sponsor’s ad was displayed more than 23,000 times (not even including promotions on two Facebook pages and Twitter/X).

So, thank you, sponsors — and all our Whatcom Hoops fans — for truly making this a great season.
